自己紹介

Hello everyone, I’m Andy Martin and I'm from Leicestershire in England. When I first came to Japan, I taught English in Junior high schools in Tokyo and then at the YMCA. More recently, I’ve been teaching English in Japanese universities for the last eight years. Remember, English is the world’s second language. If you learn to speak it well, it will enable you to have many opportunities and truly become a global citizen. Finally, I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and I hope we will all enjoy communicating together in English

科目紹介

At Takushoku, I am teaching two second year Setsumei happyo classes that meet three times a week. These are intensive classes and are for developing speaking and writing skills through discussion of topics and later preparing and giving presentations. I am also teaching 3 first year Workshop classes. These classes meet twice a week and are mostly for developing speaking skills. For both Setsumei and Workshop classes, you will need an A4 20 page clear file for keeping the instruction materials that I’ll be giving you and your own work. You should also bring a notebook for in-class writing. In addition, for students who want to have more chances to enjoy speaking English, I will be running the beginner to lower intermediate Lunchtime English Salon on Fridays from 12.40 to 1.20 in Room A. 424.
