Language |
The importance of English continues
increase in today’s society. This course aims to provide students with the
advanced level of practical language ability and international sensibility
required to hold their own with native speakers. With a focus on
presentation and debate, the department aims to provide practical skills.
Small-sized classes teach the basics, including correct pronunciation and
grammar, to thoroughly develop English conversation ability and an
understanding of culture in English-speaking areas, as well as deepen
communication ability.
English Language and Education Course
This course was designed for students who want to
learn English from a linguistic perspective, including grammar,
pronunciation and comparative linguistics, as well as students aiming to
become English teachers.
English Communication Course
This course was designed for students wishing to
learn practical English based on an understanding of foreign cultures.
This course teaches essential business skills, such as writing emails and
English language documents.
British and American Culture Course
This course is optimal
for students who want to comprehensively research the cultural,
societal and historical background of the languages used in
English-speaking countries.

Language |
With over 1.3 billion speakers, or one out
of five people in the world, the demand for Chinese as a business language
continues to increase in the new century. In 2002, China officially joined
the WTO and the importance of Chinese in the business world will certainly
increase. Our school’s Chinese language education aims to develop
practical Chinese skills using the know-how we have developed in the more
than one hundred years since our founding. We also teach the culture,
history, and literature of Chinese-speaking countries and their relations
with Japan.
Chinese
Communication Course
This course is designed for
students wishing to raise their practical language abilities in Chinese
used in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
Regional Studies
Course
This course provides students with a deeper
understanding of foreign cultures through the comprehensive study of the
culture and history of Chinese speaking countries.

With over 350 million speakers in 20
countries, the demand for Spanish continues to rise and is one of the
official languages of the United Nations. Through this course, you can
acquire practical Spanish skills sufficient to meet these societal demands
and learn about Spanish society, culture and history. We have prepared a
curriculum to develop strong practical ability through small-sized classes
run by native speakers, a short-term study abroad program for Spain and a
long-term study abroad program for Spain and Mexico.
