Takushoku University Graduate School
A graduate school to develop true
intellectual specialists who can contribute to the
world
Our education and research institutes aim to
thoroughly investigate and master more advanced expert knowledge. Even in
the post graduate courses in our graduate school, we continue to carry out
the educational and research activities completed at the undergraduate
level, which are based on our founding principles of internationalism and
practical learning. Furthermore, we accept many international students
from preeminent domestic private universities, which adds an international
flavor to our school. This feature of our graduate school forms the
undercurrent of Takushoku University.
| Four features of graduate school
|
1. A curriculum rooted in practical
learning that adapts to the demands of society. To adapt to the
increasing sophistication and complication of advanced areas of learning,
as well as society’s varied demands of professional education
organizations, we emphasize two points: laying a thorough foundation in
the basics and fostering practical scholarship for real world experts
active in developing fields.
2. An international mind-set that has
continued since our school’s foundation Internationalism has become a
universal frame of reference as borders between information, things and
people quickly disappear around the world. We were definitely ahead of the
times when we made this a feature at its inception of our graduate school
system.
3. A flexible curriculum for practical
solutions to problems We feel that the ability to select specialized
subjects based on one’s needs and abilities is natural and that an
interdisciplinary perspective that ranges over multiple academic areas is
essential. We also approve of students completing classes in other majors
and postgraduates.
4. We provide a variety of entrance and
registration opportunities for adult learners. In recent years,
there have been an increasing number of people in the workforce want to
study at the postgraduate level to improve their skills. To meet this
demand, we have added various entrance and registration opportunities and
are considering a pre-doctorate course that can be completed by working
people in two years.
