The Business Research Institute
The institute collects research
studies and materials related to administration, accounting and trading.
The institute publishes the bulletin Takushoku University Administration
Accounting Research and holds research societies, lectures, symposiums and
public programs. The institute holds regional charitable activities such
as computer lectures held in cooperation with Bunkyo Academy and promotes
student academic research by accepting and awarding scholarship research
papers.
Institute for Research in Politics and
Economics
The institute collects of
research studies and materials related to politics, law and economics. It
publishes the bulletin Takushoku University Collection of Political,
Economical and Legal Research and holds research societies, lectures,
symposiums and public programs. It also accepts scholarship papers for
student aid, holds public programs in conjunction with Bunkyo Academy, and
presents research results to the public.
Language and Culture Research Institute
The institute collects research
studies and materials related to language culture, publishes the bulletin
Takushoku University Language Research and holds research societies,
lectures, and symposiums. It opens its door to the public by holding
public lectures such as Japanese language teaching courses and foreign
language courses in 15 languages, with a focus on Asian languages.
Research Institute of Science and Engineering
The institute collects research studies and materials
related to science and engineering. It also holds research societies,
lectures, and symposiums. Research results are reported in the bulletin
Takushoku University Science and Technology Research Report, as well as at
public lectures held in cooperation with Bunkyo Academy. The institute is
highly regarded by the public, with research and scholarships often funded
by businesses.
Institute for Research in the Humanities
The institute publishes collections of research
surveys and materials dealing with the humanities and the bulletin
Takushoku University Collection of Humanities, Nature and Human Science
Research. It also holds research societies, lectures, and symposiums. The
institute covers academic fields of departments outside specialized
graduate subjects so the institute assembles researchers from all
departments and acts as a community for a wide range of specialist
researchers.
Institute of World Studies
Based our university’s founding spirit, the
institute is actively involved in collecting and publishing research
surveys, literature, and data, as well as holding research societies,
training sessions, symposiums and public lectures. The results are also
published monthly in Journal of World Affairs. Many lectures are included
in the public International Course, covering international and domestic
relations and international issues, and they have been well received by
attendees.
Institute of Japanese Identity
Based our university’s founding spirit, we
consider all aspects of Japanese culture and provide research and
publications so that Japanese people and the people of the world can
properly understand Japanese culture and history. Results of research
surveys in Japanese culture and related fields are published quarterly in
New Japanology, as well as introduced at research societies, lectures,
symposiums and public programs.
Institute for International
Development (IID)
This institute aims to
investigate and research international cooperation and various aspects of
the Asian Pacific region, including history, culture, language, politics,
society and economics, from an international viewpoint and contribute to
the progress of scholarship and the development of the region. To meet
this goal, the bulletin International Development Research is published,
research societies, lectures and symposiums are held and related documents
are collected.
Research Institute of Japanese Language Education
The institute investigates and researches Japanese
language education and disseminates the results to contribute to the
advancement of international understanding. The institute publishes a
bulletin, holds material development and research societies, symposiums,
and public lectures, and receives teachers dispatched from affiliated
schools.
Shariah Research Institute
The institute systematically looks at various phases of the Islamic
world and performs research surveys of its roots, Shariah (Islamic law),
with the aim of contributing to Japan’s various exchange promotions and
mutual understanding. The institute contributes to society by publishing
the bulletins Shariah Research and Newsletter, and holding the public
research society Tafsir Research.
Institute for Local Government Research (Established April 2009)
This institute performs research surveys of regional political
administration and related fields. The affiliated Regional Political
Administration Center promotes the creation of a network of leaders
responsible for the future of regional communities through regional
political and administrative and NPO activities.
