【大学院】国際協力学研究科がベトナムの研究所とワークショップ開催

4月1日、ベトナムの軍事技術学院の副所長ら6名を迎えて、文京キャンパスで共同ワークショップ「アジア太平洋戦略：日本と米国」が開催されました。このワークショップは、ベトナム軍事技術学院、拓殖大学の大学院国際協力学研究科と海外事情研究所の共催です。
当日は、森本敏総長の基調講演に続いて、ベトナム軍事技術学院のグエン・チョン・ハイ副所長、同学院日本研究センター長のファン・カオ・ニャット・アン氏らとの質疑応答がありました。その後、自由討論に移りました。
ワークショップは英語で行われましたが、国際学部の小髙泰特任教授がベトナム語と日本語の通訳を補足したので、討論の質を高めることができました。参加者から次回はベトナムで開催したいという希望が出て、幕を閉じました。
A Joint Workshop with the Military Science Academy, Vietnam, Convened
Joint Workshop "Asia-Pacific Strategy: Japan and the United States" was convened on April 1, 2019, inviting six Vietnamese participants including vice president of the Military Science Academy. This workshop was co-sponsored by the Military Science Academy, and the Takushoku University's Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies as well as the Institute of World Studies.
The keynote speech by Morimoto Satoshi, Chancellor of the Takushoku University, was followed by question-and-answer session participated by Nguyen Trong Hai, Vice President of the Military Science Academy and Phan Cao Nhat Anh, Director of the Academy's Center for Japanese Studies. Subsequently, the floor was opened for free discussions.
While the workshop was conducted in English, participants benefitted from the excellent Vietnamese-Japanese interpretation provided by Odaka Tai, Semi-full-time Senior Lecturer of Faculty of International Studies, who contributed to the quality of discussions immensely. Participants expressed strong hope that the second joint workshop should be convened in Vietnam before closing of the session.
