【国際協力学研究科】インドネシア・リンケージ・プログラム開講式

9月12日、文京キャンパスでインドネシア・リンケージ・プログラムの開講式が挙行されました。今年度はインドネシアから13名の学生が入学し、来年9月の修了を目指します。
川名明夫学長は、開会の辞で、プログラムの歴史を紹介するとともに、拓殖大学が開発途上国の開発を意図して設立されたと話しました。
吉野文雄研究科委員長は、歓迎の辞で、インドネシアが成長している一方で、日本経済が停滞しているが、日本に住んでその停滞の様相を経験することが重要だと話しました。
学生を代表して、アビ・レフャンサ・プルウィラ[Abi Revyansah Perwira]君が、大学院での研究のみならず、日本での生活万端について、何でも吸収するつもりで来日したと決意表明しました。

インドネシア・リンケージ・プログラムは、インドネシアの地方公務員を英語で教育するダブル・ディグリー・プログラムで、インドネシアと日本のそれぞれの大学で学位取得を目指します。大学院国際協力学研究科では、2007年から学生を受け入れ、すでに137名が修士(国際開発)、1名が博士(国際開発)の学位を取得し、インドネシアに帰国して活躍しています。

Takushoku University Graduate School of International Cooperation (GSICS)
On September 12, 2019, the opening ceremony of the Indonesia Linkage Program of Takushoku University Graduate School of International Cooperation (GSICS) was convened on the university's Bunkyo campus. 13 freshmen from Indonesia entered the program this year, aiming to complete all the course requirements by September 2020.、/p>

Yoshino Fumio, Dean of GSICS, welcomes this year's students from Indonesia.
The ceremony was commenced by the opening remark of Kawana Akio, President of Takushoku University. During the speech, President Kawana briefed on history of the program, which the university had established in order to contribute to development of developing countries. The opening remark was followed by Yoshino Fumio, Dean of GSICS, who stressed the importance for the program members to experience stagnation of the Japanese economy real time to find out what it entails in contrast to rapidly growing their own economy.
On behalf of the entire freshmen, Abi Revyansah Perwira expressed his resolve to absorb everything from Japan, not only academic knowledge and insights from the graduate school but literally everything there is to be learned while in Japan.
Indonesia Linkage Program is a double degree program designed to train Indonesian local government officials in English so that they can earn academic degrees from both Indonesian and Japanese universities. GSICS started accepting Indonesian students in 2007 and, as of 2019, it has produced one Doctor of Philosophy in International Development and 137 Masters of International Development, who returned home to contribute to their homeland's development.
