2020年度秋学期活動レポート４：別科生と学部生の国際交流活動

【School of Bekka, Intensive Japanese Language Program】2020 Fall Semester Activity Report 4: International exchange activities between Bekka and undergraduate students
別科では、拓殖大学の公式サークル「留学生パートナーズ愛好会*」に所属する学部生と連携をして、たくさんの交流活動を毎年行っています。例年は、学部生は、1泊2日の研修旅行で留学生のお世話係やイベントを企画し、教室ではホームルームのアシスタントなど、教員の視点とは違う、同世代の学部生ならでは視点から、別科生と異文化交流を深めてくれます。残念ながら2020年度は、コロナ感染症の防止対策から、隔週で行われたオンライン授業のみで交流を行いました。以下は、会長の宮野千歩さんから寄せられた活動についてのコメントです。
Every year, the Bekka collaborates with undergraduate students who belong to the "International Student Partners Club," an official club of Takushoku University to organize many exchange activities. In past years, they have taken care of the Bekka students on an overnight study trip, planned events, and assisted in homeroom in the classroom. They deepen the cross-cultural exchange with the Bekka students from the perspective of undergraduates of their generation, which is different from the perspective of faculty members. Unfortunately, in the year 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the exchange took place only in the bi-weekly online classes. The following is a comment from Miyano Chiho, Chairperson of the club, about their activities.
『今年度は、秋学期木曜日にオンラインで授業に参加させていただき、別科生の皆さんと交流を行うことができました。初めての形態で私達が戸惑うことはありましたが、別科生の皆さんも気さくに話してくれ、仲を深めることができたと思います。お互いに自宅からの配信だったので、普段は見ることができない、例えば自宅の棚にある漫画などから会話が盛り上がる場面もありました。来年度は、安全に教室で別科生と活動できることを楽しみにしています。』
This year, in the fall semester, we were able to participate in classes online on Thursdays and interact with the Bekka students. Although we were a little bewildered by this first online exchange, the Bekka students were very friendly and we were able to deepen our friendship. Since we were both broadcasting from our homes, we were able to see things that we don't usually see, and there were times when we were able to spark up conversations from Japanese comic on the shelf, for example. We are looking forward to next year when we can safely engage in activities with the Bekka students in the classroom.
