「多読授業」を紹介する講義とワークショップが行われました。

【Bekka, Intensive Japanese Language Program】Education and Study in Bekka: A lecture and workshop introducing "Extensive-Reading Classes" of the Bekka, Intensive Japanese Language Program were held at the "6th Japanese Language Education Workshop co-hosted by Naresuan University (Thailand) and Takushoku University."
3月27日（日曜日）、本学の日本語教育研究所とタイのナレースワン大学との共催で「第6回日本語教育研修会」がオンラインで開催され、本学別科日本語教育課程の教員が講師を担当しました。別科では、特色のある教育のひとつとして、「多読授業」をカリキュラムに取り入れ、全クラスで行っています。今回の研修会では、「多読授業の実践」をテーマに別科での実践が紹介されました。
午前中は、大越貴子別科長補佐(外国語学部准教授)が「多読」の理論的背景や日本語教育への応用、具体的な活動内容などについて、タイの中等教育機関の先生方および両大学の教員約30名、本学大学院生3名（言語教育研究科）に講義を行いました。午後は、さらにナレースワン大学日本語学科の3年生約45名が加わり、浅井尚子別科特任講師がオンライン多読の体験ワークショップを行いました。
ワークショップでは、教員１名に対して数名の学生を含む15のグループが、ネット上に公開されている多読用のフリーテキストを利用した多読授業を体験しました。今回使用された多読用の読み物は初級レベルが中心でしたが、学生からは、教科書では扱わないようなオノマトペや会話表現などに関心をもったという声が聞かれました。研修会後のアンケートでは、ほぼ全員の学生が「これから多読をやってみたいと思う」と答え、教員からは、「読み物の内容がおもしろい」、「自分のクラスで実施してみたい」といった声が多く聞かれました。タイの日本語教員のブラッシュアップはもちろん、ナレースワン大学と本学との相互交流にとっても大変有意義な研修会となりました。
また、ナレースワン大学日本語学科卒業生で別科修了生のパンジョー・ヌッディーナさんが、母校の後輩たちに向けて、タイ語で本学の学部や別科の魅力を紹介してくださいました。パンジョーさんは、別科修了後に本学大学院国際協力学研究科で修士号を取得し、現在はマレーシアの日本関連企業で活躍中です。先輩の活躍を知り、ナレースワン大学からより多くの優秀な学生が本学に留学し、世界で活躍することを期待します。
On Sunday, March 27, "the 6th Japanese Language Education Workshop" was held online jointly by Naresuan University in Thailand and Bekka, Intensive Japanese Language Program, of Takushoku University, with faculty members from the Bekka as an instructor. The Bekka incorporates "extensive-reading classes" into its curriculum as one of its unique educational features, and all classes are offered in the program. The theme of this workshop was "Practice of extensive-reading classes," in which practices at the Bekka were introduced.
In the morning, Associate Dean OKOSHI Takako of Bekka (Associate Professor, Faculty of Foreign Languages), gave a lecture on the theoretical background of "extensive reading," its application to Japanese language education, and specific activities to approximately 30 Thai secondary school teachers and faculty members from both universities, as well as three graduate students (Graduate School of Language Education of Takushoku University). In the afternoon, about 45 third-year students from the Japanese language department of Narasuan University further joined the workshop, where Specially Appointed Lecturer ASAI Naoko of Bekka gave a hands-on workshop on online extensive reading.
In the workshop, divided into 15 groups, including several students for each teacher, participants experienced an extensive reading class using free texts for it available on the Internet. Although most of the reading materials used this time were at the beginner level, some students commented on their interest in onomatopoeia and conversational expressions, which are not covered in textbooks. In a questionnaire after the workshop, almost all the students answered that they would like to try more extensive reading in the future, and many of the teachers responded that the reading material was interesting and that they would like to implement it in their own classes. The workshop was very meaningful not only for brushing up Japanese language instructors in Thailand, but also for mutual exchange between Naresuan University (Thailand) and Takushoku University.
Panjor Nurdina, a graduate of Japanese Language Program of Naresuan University and a graduate of the Bekka, also introduced the attractiveness of the undergraduate, graduate school, and the Bekka at Takushoku University in Thai to the juniors at Naresuan University. After completing the Bekka, she obtained a master's degree from the Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies at Takushoku University and is currently working for a Japanese-related company in Malaysia. Knowing her success, hopefully the more outstanding students from Naresuan University will study at Takushoku University and play an active role in the world.
