2025 Distinctive Educational Activities ⑤:Interviews for all the Bekka Students Held.

掲載日:2026年01月09日

On Thursday, November 27, individual interviews were conducted for all students enrolled in the Bekka, Intensive Japanese Language Program. In preparation for these interviews, students studied interview techniques unique to Japan, with a view toward further study at universities or graduate schools and future employment after completing the program. During the interviews, asked by faculty members other than their homeroom instructors about their learning progress in the program and their future plans, they responded in Japanese. For students applying to enter Takushoku University through the Bekka recommendation for the 2025 academic year, this interview also served as the final entrance examination. Although the students were understandably nervous, the day proved to be a meaningful and valuable experience.

The interviews for all students enabled me to learn the basic structure and etiquette of interviews in Japan, as well as how to prepare effectively beforehand. Having this kind of interview practice in the Bekka program was extremely helpful. Although I felt a little nervous at first, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the instructors provided a great deal of valuable advice. I believe this was a very meaningful experience that will be useful for both further education and future employment.

I learned how to properly greet interviewers in a Japanese-style interview, as well as how to knock before entering the room, where to place my hands, how to sit, and how to maintain appropriate eye contact with the interviewers. What surprised me most was that my Japanese language ability had improved significantly since the spring semester, allowing me to answer the interviewers' questions clearly and confidently. By the end of the interview, I felt very happy, as my Japanese had improved and the interview went smoothly. Overall, it was a comfortable and positive experience for me.
