At Takushoku University, four on-campus institutions--the Bekka Intensive Japanese Language Program, the Department of Global Japanese Language in the Faculty of Foreign Languages, the Japanese Education Course (master's program) in the Graduate School of Language Education, and the Institute of Japanese Language Education--work in collaboration to enhance the quality of Japanese language education. In particular, the university places a strong emphasis on the training of Japanese language teachers, for which demand is expected to grow in the coming years.
From October 2025 to February 2026, Bekka students participated as model students in the Japanese language teaching practicum conducted by the Department of Global Japanese Language in the Faculty of Foreign Languages and the Japanese Language Teacher Training Course, which are designed for those aiming to become Japanese language teachers. The Bekka model students, at the elementary level (equivalent to JLPT N4-N5), seemed to enjoy themselves while actively engaging in and deepening their learning through the teacher trainees' lessons.
