On October 26 (Thursday) to 27 (Friday), two days and one night, the Bekka, Japanese Intensive Language Program, conducted a study tour to Nikko. The Bekka students from 11 countries (alphabetical order: Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Mexico, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, Taiwan, Thailand, and Viet Nam) gathered near the nearest Bekka station (Myogadani Station) with their teachers and Bekka Student Assistants*, and headed for Nikko City in Tochigi Prefecture by three buses. On the first day, after visiting Nikko Toshogu Shrine, a World Heritage site, they stayed at a hot-spring hotel along the Kinugawa River. On the second day, following an enjoyable trip to Edo Wonderland Nikko Edomura, they had lunch at Lake Chuzenji, then visited the Kegon Falls. The Bekka students, having studied about Nikko in advance through Japanese affairs classes and class seminars, were able to broaden their knowledge of Japanese culture, including hot springs.

* [Bekka Student Assistants are Takushoku University undergraduate students who interact with Bekka students by assisting class teachers and Bekka students during class seminars and events held every Thursday. (Official volunteer activities of the Bekka, Takushoku University)]
