On Thursday,　June 27, the 2024 Bekka Scholarship Certificate Awarding Ceremony (the 1st) was held in Room F201 of the International Education Center (Building F) at the Bunkyo Campus of Takushoku University, Tokyo, Japan. Each of the three Bekka Scholarship recipients expressed their joys and hopes for the future.

■Mx. PHATTANATHAVORN NATCHAYA (Thailand)
"Having received the scholarship, I have gained a bit more confidence in my Japanese language skills. Thailand and Japan have had a good relationship for a long time, and Japanese culture, such as cuisine, manga, and anime, is very popular in Thailand. As many Thai people want to learn Japanese or pursue higher education in Japan, I would like to advise them on studying in Japan and share my positive experiences."

■Mx. VU THI HANG (Vietnam)
"For me, this scholarship is a great encouragement and a motivator to continue working towards my next goal. Recently, news reports have indicated that Japan is facing a shortage of workers. For this reason, I aspire to work in a field where I can introduce talented individuals to Japan in the future. I also want to be a bridge to support Vietnamese people who wish to work in Japan. I believe this will not only contribute to the development of the Japanese economy but also improve the relationship between Japan and Vietnam."

■Mx. SONGNOK PREEYANUCH (Thailand)
"I will continue my studies in Japan using the scholarship. I am interested in Japanese culture and the Japanese way of life, so I want to study business at a Japanese university and in the future spread Japanese culture through business. For example, Japanese people pay attention to their skin and health. I want to learn the principles and guidelines for doing business in the field between Thailand and Japan at university."
