2025 Distinctive Educational Activities ④ : Autumn Study Trip (Mount Nokogiri and Kamogawa, One Night, Two Days) Held Successfully

掲載日:2026年01月09日

From October 31 (Friday) to November 1 (Saturday), the Bekka, Intensive Japanese Language Program organized a one-night, two-day autumn field trip to Mount Nokogiri and Nihon-ji Temple in Chiba Prefecture. The temple is known for its long history and is said to have been founded about 1,300 years ago. The students from the Bekka, representing nine countries--Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam--joined the trip along with faculty members and student assistants. The group met near Myogadani Station and traveled to Chiba by three chartered buses via Umihotaru in Tokyo Bay.

On the first day, students visited Mount Nokogiri and Nihon-ji Temple and enjoyed a seafood barbecue lunch. They then stayed at a hotel with hot springs. On the second day, the group visited Kamogawa Sea World, where students watched a powerful killer whale show and so on. Because the students had learned about the Tokyo Bay Ferry in advance through their Japanese Studies classes and seminars, they were eager to experience the ferry crossing. After boarding the ferry with the buses, they stepped onto the deck and viewed the sunset over Tokyo Bay with Mount Fuji in the background. Many students described the scene as unforgettable. This field trip offered students the chance to experience the natural environment and cultural attractions of the greater Tokyo area, while deepening their understanding of Japan.

*[Bekka Student] Student assistants in the Bekka are graduate and undergraduate volunteers from Takushoku University who support instructors and students during weekly seminars and program events.
