2024 Distinctive Educational Activities ④:A cultural experience event was held
掲載日:2024年10月30日
On Tuesday, September 24th, Bekka, Intensive Japanese Language Program, held a cultural experience event, inviting a lecturer to give a workshop on "Japanese Culture and Sustainable Lifestyle" with a focus on Furoshiki (conducted by Yamada Sen-I Co.,Ltd, and Musubi). Many students were introduced to Furoshiki for the first time and showed interest in its various uses.
One of the students, IRVAN YUSUF from Indonesia, expressed his thought as follows: "I have seen Furoshiki in anime, but through this workshop, I realized that it is a wonderful aspect of Japanese culture. In Indonesia, we have something similar called ELENDAND. It is used in traditional dances as a fashion item, and mothers use it to carry or wrap their babies. In Japan, Furoshiki is a single piece of cloth that can used to carry items in various ways, serve as a fashion item, and even replace plastic bags when shopping. I would love to try."
Through the experience of actually using Furoshiki together with the instructor and the student assistants from the special course, the students were able to understand its benefits, expressing that it was "difficult but interesting."
